At our meeting on Monday August 26th, we had the pleasure of a visit from District Governor Beth Selby. In her presentation to members, the DG shared some of her history in Rotary. To quote

"People often ask me how I became involved in Rotary. While my official Rotary involvement began in 2004 as a member of the Rotary Club of Belleville, my rotary experience started in 1993 when my husband, Barry (then a member of the Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise) and I were counselors to the first of five students involved in the Rotary Exchange program. This experience is "My Rotary Moment".

One of the DG's goals this year is to assist Club Presidents with strengthening their clubs. She believes the key to membership retention is engagement. We are great at attracting people to Rotary, but we need to engage them in social activities and service projects to retain them as members. Let's demonstrate the value of membership in Rotary International and grow Rotary!

The District Governor's Goals are:
